High Point Matters
Did
you know:
Our
By-Laws Committee is one of the least visible, but one of the MOST IMPORTANT
COMMITTEES in our community.
Do
you ever have a complaint as to what IS OR IS NOT allowed? The decision MUST LEGALLY be based on
the EXISTING By-Laws. The ONLY
WAY to change them is by a vote of the community. For that to happen, a PROPOSED By-Law
(or change) must be submitted to the By-Laws Committee, which will consider all
ideas. If a proposed change makes it
onto the November ballot, its passage will be determined by a vote of the
community. 66% of those voting must vote
“Yes” in order for the proposal to pass & become part of our legal
documents.

Regarding Return Renters:
Even
when you rent to the same people year after year and you have already verified
that they have done the required background check, you STILLmust notify
the office before their arrival AND produce a current lease
addendum. 3 month minium-1 year maximum.
Did
you know:
There
seems to be some confusion with the parking.
If there is ample parking in your driveway, you may have to shuffle your
cars around, but you must park there first. These are the rules of the
community.

High
Point Travel Club by Trey Jordan
Well
we have had a somewhat mild winter so far but maybe I speak too soon! I sure hope not.
In
the upcoming couple of months, we have a
trip to Treasure Tavern in Orlando on February 9th, this is a variety show and dinner. On February 29th we are going to Solomon's
Castle in Ona, Fl. We will be having
lunch at Miller’s Dutch Kitchen prior to going to the castle. In March we have a mystery trip that is
limited to the number of people we can take.
This trip includes lunch. On
March 25th we are going to Savannah, Ga. For 4 days and 3 nights. Included in this trip is 3 breakfast, 1 lunch
and 2 dinners, along with a historic tour & our accommodations are in the
historic district. Myrtle beach is in
November of this year and is one of our most popular trips. So get signed up now to reserve your space
before we are sold out. For more
information on these and other trips in the works, get to a meeting. We meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month
at 11 AM in our Community Center.

Mobile
Patrol by Ed Oleszek
The
Mobile Patrol is an organization that helps provide a secure environment for
the residents of High Point. The Mobile
Patrol renders an important service through regular observation of our
community streets, which helps to keep our neighborhood safe.
We
are the eyes & ears of the Sheriff, we have an outstanding relationship
with the Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s
Office has a liaison officer at every meeting, who must answer any and all
questions that may be asked.
The
Mobile Patrol meets at the Community Center on the 4th Monday of the month at 7
pm. Each month, we also have a speaker, that gives us pertinent information on any number of topics. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer member of the Mobile Patrol, please come to our next meeting, again on the 4th Monday at 7 pm at our Community Center.
